Here's a New York Times article about a father and daughter who read together for 3,218 straight days. What a great story. Literacy experts say that reading aloud long after children are reading independently helps nurture the love for books and reading – and of course also promotes family closeness. Listening to audiobooks is another way to enjoy literature together.
